ABSTRACT
This study aims to have a better understanding of Senior Bocce as a sport for the old people
as well as to evidence that this can be faced as a way of transformation of the way of life of
the population. Starting from a bibliographic search and improving our knowledge about
Senior Bocce and the elders, we will characterize Senior Bocce throw a Model of Analysis of
Individual Sports, where we will also identify its active principles, demanded behaviors and
the main skills that can be developed by the elders. Then we will create some experimental
charts (which will evidence this characterization) where situations with exercises from Senior
Bocce and throw a questionnaire, we will ask to some aged people, practitioners and nonpractitioners,
about their perceptions of the developed skills/ dynamics. After that we will
analyze comparatively their
perceptions with the characterization from the model of
analysis aforementioned.
Finally, taking into account to the whole acquired knowledge, we believe that it is possible
to create a fit of suggestions for different learning situations which will activate the elderly
different skills/ abilities.
