Abstract
The acts of indiscipline have been a part of daily life in school. The indiscipline or lack of
social skills in physical education (PE) classes prevent a climate conducive to learning and
have endogenous and exogenous sources to students. The action of the teacher should
focus on the endogenous factors, creating alternatives to the current dynamics of the PE
classes. It is crucial to learn new strategies and models that can be applied to the classes
focusing on developing social skills in students, contributing to the end of misbehavior in PE
classes, with transfer to the day-to-day school. The performance of other roles (coach,
referee, statistician, etc.), inherent in the sport education model (SEM) can and should be
used in pursuing the acquisition of social skills am performance. Based on the literature
review we concluded that the SEM emerges as an alternative form of organization of classes,
bringing a huge contribution to the inclusion of marginalized students, the increase in the
levels of motivation, decrease off task behaviors, the development of social skills and
performance. This new dynamic to the classroom can be applied to problematic classes in
physical education or in general.
