Abstract
Within the scientific-pedagogical action of the Masters for Physical Education teachers, we
developed this work with two essential aims: 1) alert the Physical Education teachers, to the
importance of addressing different tips of teaching classes; 2) Explore how to address the
Hockey in Physical Education.
According to Gonçalves (2010:7), "The Mini – Hockey is a new proposal for physical activity
in school that the main aim is to initiate the practice of Field Hockey."
To make this work viable, as well as the relevance of the topic being presented, we apply a
questionnaire in 17 Physical Education teachers.
The major conclusion of this work is that most teachers (62.5%) did not address the Field
Hockey and the Hockey Hall in their classes, giving as main reasons for the failure the few
knowledge of the technical and tactical aspects, as well as the rules of this sport.
Note that this sport appears in the National Physical Education program, as an alternative
material in the third cycle and secondary school.
