Abstract<br />

This present paper has the purpose of <strong>de</strong>monstrating the importance that the Integral<br />

Formation, in the school environment, has in stu<strong>de</strong>nts’ eclectic and harmonious<br />

<strong>de</strong>velopment, and how Physical Education, through its particularities and specificities, can be<br />

a discipline that potentiates this formation, if its teaching is a<strong>de</strong>quate to the stu<strong>de</strong>nts’ needs<br />

and characteristics. To enable this integral formation, it is necessary the existence of an<br />

interrelation between the three Domains: Psychomotor, Cognitive and Socio-Affective, so<br />

that it can be created a balance in the stu<strong>de</strong>nts’ <strong>de</strong>velopment. However, to make this<br />

possible, the Physical Education teacher’s action in its classes, should take into account not<br />

the sports performance and technical improvement, but the group of transformations that<br />

you want to provoke on the stu<strong>de</strong>nts, with the intention that these evolve and that they gain<br />

a set of knowledge and skills that go beyond physical and motor capabilities, extending<br />

throughout their lives, personally and professionally. Thus, Physical Education should serve<br />

as an instrument that potentiates the stu<strong>de</strong>nts’ integral formation, and should be harnessed<br />

its unique characteristics, which means that teachers should gui<strong>de</strong> all the process of<br />

teaching-learning accordingly.<br />
