Abstract<br />

Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) is characterized by the beauty of coordinated execution of<br />

movements, musically, with various apparatus: rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon.<br />

The inclusion of RG in school is important because, by virtue of being a form of high motor<br />

coordination, which allows the body engagement with space, time, and rhythm; and<br />

provi<strong>de</strong>s youngsters with a full cognitive <strong>de</strong>velopment as well as a social and emotional one.<br />

The methodology presented aims to contribute to the training of teachers in the matter of<br />

rhythmic gymnastics; to make teachers aware of the potential of this sport and to provi<strong>de</strong> a<br />

set of didactic teaching tools that can help them in their intervention.<br />
