Born into a <strong>French</strong>-Spanish family, she started as radio<br />

journalist and stage director. In 1947, she created in<br />

Algiers the C.R.A.D. (Centre Régional d’Art Dramatique),<br />

a drama school. Known mostly as writer, she<br />

authored a collection <strong>of</strong> poems (1947 Dons, Editions<br />

Chaix), a novel (1958 La Maison des Soeurs Gomez, Editions<br />

Julliard), plays (1962 La Kahéna; 1963 El Pueblo),<br />

and essays (1972 Les Ansinthes sauvages, Fayard; 1984<br />

Jeanne et Thérèse, Le Seuil). She brought to the screen<br />

her most successful play (La Famille Hernandez).<br />

He studied Business at Sup de Co Paris and ESCP<br />

(1991) and writing at the Conservatoire Européen<br />

d’Ecriture Audiovisuelle (1997). After working<br />

as screenplay reader and fi ction program adviser<br />

(1997–2003), he made his directing debut and wrote<br />

the screenplays and dialogues <strong>of</strong> two episodes <strong>of</strong> TV<br />

series he created: Elodie Bradford (2004 “Les Crimes<br />

étaient Presque parfaits,” “Un Ami pour Elodie,” Laurent<br />

Carcélès).<br />
