13, 1920, Paris, France–December 12, 2003, Pontoise,
France)
The son of actress Jeanne Fusier-Gir (1885–1973)
and painter and sculptor Charles Gir, he was trained
at the Ecole Technique de Photographie et de Cinématographie.
After trying his luck as a painter and
journalist, he became an assistant director (1949 Toâ,
