Having graduated with a bachelor’s degree in plastic<br />

arts, she studied dramatic art with Daniel Mesguich,<br />

Blanche Salant, and Alain Ollivier. She authored novels<br />

2004 Le Voile brûlé, Editions Flammarion) and directed<br />

several plays (1998 Le Temps d’un Passage, Virgil Lombardo;<br />

1999 Nu, Emmanuel Loi; Exils, Anna Seghers<br />

and poems <strong>of</strong> Marina Tsvétaéva). Other credit (as<br />

actress): 1985 Un Homme comblé (TV, Paula Delsol).<br />

CANDILIS, TAKIS P. (October 27, 1954, Athens,<br />

Greece–)<br />

The son <strong>of</strong> a Greek architect father and a <strong>French</strong><br />

mother, he wrote his fi rst short at age seventeen.<br />

While studying architecture, he worked as an assistant<br />

production designer on several fi lms (1974 Sweet<br />

Movie, Dusan Makavejev; 1975 Un Sac de Billes, Jacques<br />

Doillon; Les Galettes de Pont-Aven, Joël Séria). He also<br />

landed jobs as assistant cinematographer and editor.<br />

After abandoning his architecture studies, he began<br />

directing documentaries and institutional fi lms. In<br />

1988, he co-founded with Rachel Kahn his own production<br />

company (Tara Productions). He is currently<br />

a TV producer.<br />

le Prince est un Enfant. From 1994 (La Colline aux Mille<br />

Enfants, TV, Jean-Louis Lorenzi) to 2008 (Last Night,<br />

Massy Tadjedin, USA / France), he played second lead<br />

and leading roles in about forty fi lms and TV movies.<br />

In 1991, he settled in Paris, where he was trained as<br />

an actor and a singer at the Cours Florent, Art Scénic,<br />

le Coach. Parallel to his directing career, he also<br />

worked as an assistant director and casting director<br />

(2000 La Faute à Voltaire / USA: Political Refugee; 2001<br />

Toutes les Nuits, Eugène Green). He played onstage<br />

and on fi lms (2002 Carla, medium-length, Rima Samman;<br />

2004 Le Pont des Arts, Eugène Green).<br />
