After studying graphics and advertising drawing,<br />

he worked for the ORTF (<strong>French</strong> TV at the time)<br />

animation cinema service before directing shorts. He<br />

DUVAL DANIEL (November 28, 1944, Vitry-sur-<br />

Seine, Val-de-Marne, France–)<br />

A child in care, he worked in a roller-skate factory. At<br />

age fi fteen, he fell ill and had to remain bedridden. His<br />

room companion, Father Dagonet, who produced a<br />

religious TV program, Le Jour du Seigneur, encouraged<br />

him to opt for a new career. He entered fi lms as a
