WAGON, VIRGINIE (May 26, 1965, France–)<br />

Having graduated from the European Business School<br />

in 1987, she shot television reports before directing<br />

her fi rst movie, a short. From 1996 to 2000, she collaborated<br />

as a screenwriter on all <strong>of</strong> Erick Zonca’s<br />

fi lms (1994 Eternelles, short; 1996 Seule, short; 1998<br />

La Vie rêvée des Anges / USA: The Dreamlife <strong>of</strong> Angels /<br />

US video: The Daydreams <strong>of</strong> Angels; 2000 Le Petit Voleur,<br />

shot in 1998). Zonca co-wrote her fi rst feature fi lm.<br />

After completing his secondary studies in Orléans,<br />

he spent some time in a Parisian university. A stage<br />

actor from 1922, he entered fi lms in 1931 (La Vagabonde,<br />

Solange Bussi) and played supporting roles in<br />

about forty fi lms until his death in 1959 (last fi lm:<br />

1959 Secret pr<strong>of</strong>essionnel, Raoul André). An occasional<br />

director, he shot only two feature fi lms.<br />

The owner <strong>of</strong> a Parisian striptease club (Le Club des<br />

Capucines), he never stopped exhibiting his taste for<br />

eroticism and women, fi rst directing a kind <strong>of</strong> nudie<br />

(several scenes took place inside a nudist camp)<br />

and then playing (under a new pseudonym: Claude<br />
