USA: Experiment in Evil / USA: The Doctor’s Horrible<br />

Experiment, originally shot for TV), he played in about<br />

fi fty movies. In 1918, he became the favorite collaborator<br />

<strong>of</strong> Marcel L’Herbier, performing in most <strong>of</strong> the<br />

director’s fi lms from 1918 (Rose-France, also production<br />

designer) to 1948 (Les Derniers Jours de Pompéi /<br />

Gli ultimi giorni di Pompei / USA: Sins <strong>of</strong> Pompeii / The<br />

Last Days <strong>of</strong> Pompeii, France / Italy). Other credits (as<br />
