Born to Swedish parents, she lived in Stockholm<br />

(1961–1971) and Paris (1971–1981) before settling<br />

in Los Angeles. Having graduated from the directing<br />

program at the American <strong>Film</strong> Institute in Los<br />

Angeles, she was assistant editor, editor, production<br />

coordinator (1985 Once Bitten, Tim Hunter, USA), assistant<br />

director (1986 River’s Edge, Tim Hunter, USA),<br />

and fi nally director.<br />
