After earning degrees in law and letters, she wrote<br />

several novels (Le Labyrinthe ou Le Jardin de Sir Arthur;<br />

Christophe ou Le Choix des Armes; Les Cordes rouges;<br />

L’Exécuteur; La Bête lointaine) and essays (Un Siècle<br />

d’Elégance française; La Sculpture en France depuis Rodin,<br />

co-author with Léon Gischia). In 1945, she published<br />

a book (Images du Cinéma Français) made up<br />

<strong>of</strong> movie stills. Producer Pierre Braunberger spotted<br />

it and asked her to shoot a compilation fi lm (Paris<br />

1900). Seen as herself in Désordre (Jacques Baratier),<br />

she co-hosted a famous TV literary program (Lecture<br />

pour tous), in 1953.<br />
