He was born in Geneva to <strong>French</strong> parents. A former<br />

stage actor and then artistic director <strong>of</strong> a production<br />

company, Les <strong>Film</strong>s Lux, for which he directed historical<br />

movies before joining Pathé in 1911, he fi nished<br />

his career shooting <strong>French</strong>-German fi lms with Harry<br />

Piel. Other credits (as screenwriter): 1914 Protéa II ou<br />

L’Auto infernale (three parts: “Une Auto au Milieu des<br />

Flammes,” “Le Miracle des Roses,” “Le Lasso aérien”;<br />

Joseph Faivre).<br />
