Paris suburb. After studying social sciences, he founded<br />

his own production company, Sarrazink Productions,<br />

The son <strong>of</strong> a psychoanalyst father, he grew up in<br />

Argentina. then in Uruguay, before moving with his<br />

family to France in 1973. After studying history <strong>of</strong><br />

art, philosophy, and literature, he wrote a screenplay,<br />

Ecume de Lune, that will be never shot, but several<br />

directors read it, including Alain Resnais and Robert<br />

Bresson. Producer Philippe Diaz, guessing the talent<br />

<strong>of</strong> the young author, commisioned him the writing<br />

<strong>of</strong> a feature fi lm (1990 Jean Galmot Aventurier, Alain<br />

Maline). He already co-wrote a short (1989 La Jalousie,<br />

Christophe Loizillon). From Samba Traoré (Idrissa<br />

Ouedraogo, France / Switzerland, 1992) to the feature<br />

fi lm he directed (Quelques Jours en Septembre,<br />

2006), he co-authored about twenty screenplays.<br />

AMIGUET, JEAN-FRANÇOIS (March 31, 1950,<br />

Vevey, Switzerland–)<br />

After graduating from Lausanne University with a<br />

degree in political science, he turned to cinema,<br />

working fi rst as a technician, notably with Swiss<br />

directors Alain Tanner, Marcel Schüpbach, and Yves<br />

Yersin. His fi rst fi lms were documentary shorts. In<br />

1991, he founded with Bertrand Liechti a production<br />

company, Zagora <strong>Film</strong>s S.A. Genève. Co-creator<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Vaudoise Foundation for the Cinema and <strong>of</strong><br />

the ARC (Association Romande pour le Cinéma),<br />

he authored a book (1995 Freddy Buache: derrière<br />

l’Ecrans—Entretiens avec Christophe Gallaz et Jean-<br />

François Amiguet, Editions Payot, Lausanne, Switzerland).<br />

In 2006, he directed for the stage a play written<br />

by Marguerite Duras (La Musica).<br />
