His wife (from 1966) was French actress Brigitte
Fossey. He was the father of actress Marie Adam
(born in 1968).

A true globe-trotter, he went to Paris in order to
complete his studies before traveling around the
world as a sound engineer and director of TV programs
on ethnical minorities for ORTF (name of
French TV in the 1960s and early 1970s).
