The son <strong>of</strong> actor and singer Serge Reggiani (1922–<br />

2004), he grew up in the south <strong>of</strong> France. He entered<br />

fi lms as an assistant cameraman at age fi fteen and<br />

started an acting career in 1983 (L’addition, Denis<br />

Amar). He co-wrote the screenplay <strong>of</strong> Mona et moi<br />

(Patrick Grandperret, 1990).<br />

including Le Cinéma d’Amateur (Editions Larousse /<br />

RÉGO, LUIS (May 30, 1943, Lisbon, Portugal–)<br />

Portuguese born, he went to Paris at age eighteen<br />

and earned a living as a dishwasher and sheet cutter.<br />

In 1965, he co-founded with Gérard Rinaldi, Donald<br />

Rieubon, Jean Sarrus, and Gérard Filipelli a rock<br />

group, Les Problèmes (he played rhythm guitar),<br />

which became a comic musical band, Les Charlots,<br />

in 1967. He made his acting debut with his friends in<br />

1970 (La Grande Java, Philippe Clair) and co-starred<br />

in several Charlots vehicles (including the box <strong>of</strong>fi<br />

ce hit Les Bidasses en Folie / UK: The Five Crazy<br />

Boys, Claude Zidi). By 1974, he left the group and<br />

played supporting roles in many comedies <strong>of</strong> the
