Having graduated from the Political Studies Institute,<br />

he began his pr<strong>of</strong>essional life as a rock and fi lm critic<br />

for the magazines Nouvelles Cités and Mag’jeunes.<br />

He directed his fi rst short in 1991. Other credits<br />

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy<br />

and a diploma from the Centre de Formation<br />

des Journalistes (Journalists Training Center), he<br />

worked as a press photographer for the Sygma and<br />

then the Capa agency before becoming a reporter<br />

for <strong>French</strong> TV. In 1990, he received the prestigious<br />

Albert Londres Prize and a Hollywood Emmy Award.<br />

He played small parts in movies directed by his<br />
