An avant-garde stage actor and director, he had<br />

his own troupe, La Compagnie des Jonchets. He<br />

performed many plays, including the two he wrote<br />

(Méli-Mélo ou Le Justicier de la 12ème Heure; La Maison<br />

perdue). After appearing in one movie (1930 La Servante,<br />

Jean Choux), he shot a few fi lms and soon gave<br />

up cinema to work in the chemical industry.<br />
