la Argentina inundada), documentary, Hervé Delmare,<br />

was a fi lm critic before serving as an assistant director<br />

and the German occupation <strong>of</strong> France interrupted his<br />

activities. He joined the <strong>French</strong> Resistance and created<br />

with cinematographer Henri Alekan the Service<br />

du Comité d’Action de la Résistance, for which he<br />

directed his fi rst fi lm, a short on Partisans. He ap-
