A former student at the Ecole Centrale des Arts<br />

et Manufactures (1961–1963), he taught mathematics<br />

before switching to journalism and creating a<br />

monthly magazine (Le Bel Âge). After collaborating on<br />

the daily newspaper Libération and organizing variety<br />

shows, he entered <strong>French</strong> TV thanks to producer<br />

Daisy de Galard and fi lmed short subjects for Dim<br />

Dam Dom (1967–1970).<br />
