He co-founded in 1976 the popular movie magazine
Première, for which he worked as chief editor until
1987, then he gave up his job to create Studio Magazine.
In 1989, he directed his fi rst short. In 1993, he
left Studio Magazine to direct two short video fi lms
on director Bertrand Blier (Terre de Travail, 1995)
and singer Julien Clerc (Au Bout du Monde, 1997). He
co-wrote L’Envol (Steve Suissa, 1999).

René Allio). Most of the fi lms she directed include
references to her Italian origin. In 1988, she wrote
On se dépêche d’en rire (shorts; episodes “Lettre
d’Amour,” “Activons-nous,” “L’Opération”; Pierre
Etaix, Thomas Gilou).
