After studying law and political science in Paris, he<br />

moved to Los Angeles, where he enrolled in the University<br />

<strong>of</strong> California, Los Angeles (screenwriting and<br />

directing department). He worked as an assistant director<br />

at the Washington Opera before entering fi lms<br />

as author <strong>of</strong> the original story <strong>of</strong> The Hot Touch / Coup<br />

de Maître / Peter Dion (Roger Vadim, Canada / USA,<br />

1982). He also co-wrote the dialogue <strong>of</strong> Le Complot /<br />

To Kill a Priest / Popieluszko (Agnieszka Holland, France<br />

/ USA, 1988) and the screenplay <strong>of</strong> Word <strong>of</strong> Honor (TV<br />

movie, Robert Markowitz, Canada / USA, 2003). Having<br />

returned to France, he directed his only feature fi lm.<br />
