OLIVIER, FÉLIX (1950, Paris, France–)
Having graduated with a master’s degree in cinema,
he taught French in a Scottish high school for girls
and in a university in Louisiana. After being fi red
from his job, he settled in New Orleans, where he
worked as a building contractor for seven years.
Then he moved to New York, earning a living as a
driver for the Manhattan offi ce of French TV channel
Antenne 2. He was successively a sound engineer for
the TV newsmagazine Nightlife, production trainee
for cinema, perchman in Hollywood, electrician, assistant
camera operator, location manager, location
