debut in 1930. He collaborated on about fi fty movies<br />

After studying philosophy and theology, he went to<br />

Paris to attend courses at the ENSATT (Ecole Nationale<br />

Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre)<br />

and then at the CNSAD (Conservatoire National<br />

Supérieur d’Art Dramatique / <strong>French</strong> National Conservatory<br />

<strong>of</strong> Dramatic Art). In 1988, his fi rst play,<br />

Des Oranges et des Ongles, was created by director<br />

Didier Lafaye. The same year, he founded his own<br />

theatrical group, L’Inconvénient des Boutures, for<br />

which he authored and directed plays. He appeared<br />

as an actor in ten shorts and feature fi lms (1989<br />
