Os Objectivos Específicos 322 • a responsabilidade ambiental dos negócios – o sector empresarial deve ter uma boa estrutura para formar e construir sistemas de gestão, competências e aplicar tecnologia capaz de melhorar os seus esforços relativamente ao ambiente; • a “contabilidade social” do sector empresarial – será feito com que seja atractivo para o sector empresarial contribuir para o desenvolvimento de um mercado de trabalho que tenha espaço para todos, mesmo aqueles que não possuem as qualificações normais. EXEMPLOS DE INICIATIVAS A APOIAR A RESPONSABILIDADE AMBIENTAL EMPRESARIAL O governo dinamarquês escolheu medir a responsabilidade ambiental empresarial através de três indicadores: • o número de empresas com certificado ambiental: nesta área, a Dinamarca é actualmente segunda na OCDE, em percentagem relativamente ao número de habitantes. O governo pretende que o país continue entre os principais países com mais empresas certificadas ambientalmente; • proliferação de “bens verdes”: o aparecimento de “bens verdes” ou “amigos do ambiente” está rapidamente em expansão na Dinamarca. Também o desenvolvimento de alimentos ecológicos tem feito grandes progressos em comparação com outros países. Pretende-se manter esta posição já que a confiança por parte do consumidor nestes produtos é bastante elevada. É objectivo do governo que os produtos com etiqueta “verde” possam aumentar em comparação com produtos oriundos de outros países, e que a Dinamarca possa manter a sua posição de liderança relativamente a produtos ecológicos; • o uso eficaz dos recursos pelos negócios: o governo está a preparar estatísticas totais de consumo de recursos-chave em numerosas indústrias. Em algumas áreas, conseguiu-se já quebrar a relação entre crescimento e consumo acrescido de recursos. Tal está relacionado por exemplo com o desperdício industrial e a área energética. O governo ambiciona promover a eficácia dos recursos em todas as indústrias e para tal vai instalar metas ao nível de cada sector, de acordo com os indicadores mais aconselhados.
