Saving Data Sets<br />

Selecting the Data Set for Saving<br />

MEMORY SAVE menu:<br />

EDIT<br />

NAME<br />

The EDIT NAME softkey activates the entry of the name of the data set to be<br />

saved.<br />

Data entry is concluded by pressing one of the units keys which initiates a<br />

save operation to store the data set.<br />

IEC/IEEE-bus command<br />

:MMEMory:STORe:STATe 1,’test’<br />

PATH<br />

The EDIT PATH softkey activates the input of a directory name where the<br />

data sets are to be stored. Default path is c:\user\config.<br />

COMMENT<br />

The EDIT COMMENT softkey activates the entry of comments for the current<br />

data set. A total of 60 characters are available for this purpose.<br />

DATA SET<br />

LIST<br />

The DATA SET LIST softkey opens the DATA SET LIST/CONTENTS table.<br />

The DATA SET CLEAR and DATA SET CLEAR ALL softkeys are also<br />

displayed.<br />

The DATA SET LIST column lists all the data sets which are stored in the<br />

selected directory.<br />

The CONTENTS and COMMENT lines in the DATA SET CONTENTS<br />

column indicate the saved data subsets and the comments for the currently<br />

selected data set.<br />

Note:<br />

The current instrument configuration can be easily stored under the<br />

name of an existing data set:<br />

½ Press a units key after selecting a data set<br />

The name and the selection of the data subsets for the currently<br />

selected data set will be placed in the SAVE DATA SET table. The<br />

DATA SET LIST table is closed and, instead, the entry field for the<br />

EDIT NAME function with the name of the selected data set is<br />

opened.<br />

½ Press a units key.<br />

The current instrument configuration is saved as a data set under<br />

this name.<br />
