The ANALYZER softkey selects the ANALYZER mode.<br />

The functions provided are those of a conventional<br />

spectrum analyzer. The analyzer measures the frequency<br />

spectrum over the selected frequency range with the<br />

selected resolution and sweep time, or, for a fixed<br />

frequency, displays the waveform of the video signal.<br />

Frequency and Span Selection – FREQUENCY Key Group<br />

The FREQUENCY key group is used to specify the frequency axis of the active measurement window.<br />

The frequency axis can be defined either by the start and stop frequency or by the center frequency and<br />

span. For the case when two measurement windows (SPLIT-SCREEN) are displayed simultaneously,<br />

data entered are always related to the window selected in the SYSTEM-DISPLAY menu.<br />

When one of the keys CENTER, SPAN, START or STOP is pressed, its value can be specified in an<br />

entry window. At the same time, a softkey menu appears, which allows selecting the optional<br />

parameters.<br />

The START key opens a menu which displays the various<br />

options for setting the start frequency of the sweep.<br />

The START MANUAL softkey is automatically active and<br />

opens the entry window for manual input of the start<br />

frequency. At the same time, the coupling of the parameters is<br />

set to STOP FIXED<br />

The STOP FIXED, SPAN FIXED and CENTER FIXED<br />

softkeys are mutually exclusive selection switches. Only one<br />

of these switches may be active at any one time. The<br />

frequency coupling selected by the softkeys defines which of<br />

the dependent parameters stop frequency, center frequency<br />

and span is to remain constant when a change in the start<br />

frequency is made.<br />

The FREQ AXIS LIN/LOG softkey switches between linear<br />

and logarithmic scaling of the frequency axis.<br />
