TRACE 1 menu:<br />

EXPORT<br />

The ASCII EXPORT softkey stores the active trace in a file with ASCII format.<br />

Upon pressing the ASCII EXPORT softkey, a file name can be entered. The<br />

default name is TRACE.DAT. Then the measured data of the trace are stored.<br />

The function can be configured in the ASCII CONFIG submenu.<br />

the TRACE ASCII EXPORT function.<br />

The EDIT PATH softkey defines the directory in which the file is to be<br />

stored.<br />

The DECIM SEP softkey selects the decimal separator for the ASCII<br />

file. The choice is ’.’ (decimal point) or ’,’ (comma).<br />

This means that the decimal separator used in various language<br />

versions of evaluation programs (e.g. MS-Excel) can be selected so<br />

that the packages are supported. .<br />

APPEND<br />

The APPEND NEW softkey defines whether output data are to be<br />

written to an existing file or a new file.<br />

• With APPEND, the data are added to an existing file.<br />

• With NEW, either a new file is generated or an existing file is<br />

overwritten by storage of the data.<br />

The HEADER ON/OFF softkey defines whether important instrument<br />

settings should be stored at the beginning of the file.<br />
