Connecting a Mouse<br />

Caution:<br />

The keyboard may only be connected when the instrument is switched off<br />

(STANDBY). Otherwise, correct operation of the keyboard cannot be guaranteed.<br />

A mouse can be connected to the PS/2 (MOUSE) connector on the rear panel of the instrument to make<br />

it easier to use.<br />

MOUSE<br />

During measurements, softkeys, tables and data input fields may also be controlled by mouse. For<br />

computer function, the mouse has the usual functions.<br />

The control functions for the mouse during measurement operation are described in Chapter 3 in the<br />

section "Mouse Control of Further Display Elements". This section contains a list in which the screen<br />

display elements for mouse control of the corresponding softkeys and push buttons of the instrument<br />

are described. Chapter 8 describes the connector interface.<br />

After connection of the mouse and subsequent power-on, the mouse will be automatically recognized.<br />

Special settings such as mouse cursor speed etc., can be made in the Windows NT menu START -<br />

SETTINGS - CONTROL PANEL - MOUSE.<br />
