• Socio‐Environmental Database (DB): population, transportation, <strong>in</strong>dustrial<br />

facilities, hospitals, schools, hous<strong>in</strong>g, agricultural products, 3‐D maps, roads,<br />

rivers, residential areas, farm lands, water supply, adm<strong>in</strong>istrative prec<strong>in</strong>cts and<br />

other data.<br />

• Real‐Time Information: nuclear power plant status, source terms, meteorological<br />

data, environment radioactivity levels, and exposure doses.<br />

• Protective Action Related Database: evacuation check po<strong>in</strong>ts, shelters, evacuation<br />

routes, first‐aid stations, traffic control po<strong>in</strong>ts, transportation methods, police<br />

stations, fire stations and other emergency‐related <strong>in</strong>formation.<br />

2.2.7.1. System Functions<br />

a) Investigates the assessment results of the environmental radiation effects <strong>in</strong>put <strong>in</strong>to<br />

a query program with<strong>in</strong> the system.<br />

b) Analyzes and estimates the prospective casualties per <strong>in</strong>dividual region and<br />

azimuth sector.<br />

c) Provides evacuation check po<strong>in</strong>ts and routes for the resident protective actions.<br />

d) Searches for timely <strong>in</strong>formation regard<strong>in</strong>g the emergency preparedness‐related<br />

facilities.<br />

e) Analyzes the socio‐statistical <strong>in</strong>formation about the nuclear power plant site<br />

through the <strong>in</strong>ternet.<br />

2.2.8. Emergency Response Information eXchange (ERIX)<br />

The ERIX system is a web‐based emergency response <strong>in</strong>formation exchange system that<br />

easily and quickly communicates and shares <strong>in</strong>formation regard<strong>in</strong>g either the status of an<br />

abnormal event or an emergency response <strong>in</strong> the case of an emergency exercise and/or<br />

accident. Conventionally, this k<strong>in</strong>d of <strong>in</strong>formation was at one time communicated by<br />
