10.7.4.2. Equipment to achieve Conta<strong>in</strong>ment or Conf<strong>in</strong>ement<br />

The follow<strong>in</strong>g shall be specified: (1) The m<strong>in</strong>imum equipment (such as fans, filters,<br />

isolation valves, dampers) and doors operat<strong>in</strong>g or operable, or both; (2) The emergency<br />

systems operable.<br />

10.7.5. Ventilation Systems<br />

The follow<strong>in</strong>g shall be specified: (1) m<strong>in</strong>imum number of fans, filters, and isolation<br />

valves operat<strong>in</strong>g or operable, or both, for normal operation; (2) m<strong>in</strong>imum number of fans,<br />

filters, and isolation valves operable for emergency operation.<br />

10.7.6. Emergency Power<br />

(1) Specify source(s) of emergency electrical power (diesels, batteries, etc.) and m<strong>in</strong>imum<br />

number of units or m<strong>in</strong>imum operat<strong>in</strong>g time, if required. (2) Specify m<strong>in</strong>imum equipment<br />

required to be connected to emergency power, either <strong>in</strong> this section or <strong>in</strong> the appropriate<br />

section cover<strong>in</strong>g the equipment.<br />

10.7.7. Radiation Monitor<strong>in</strong>g Systems and Effluents<br />

These systems and effluent limits consider both external and <strong>in</strong>ternal personnel<br />

exposures, as appropriate.<br />
