10.8.3. Reactor Coolant System<br />

(1) Start<strong>in</strong>g function of emergency shutdown and sump pumps: Quarterly;<br />

(2) Test of emergency coolant source(s): Annually. The test should <strong>in</strong>clude system<br />

components if practicable;<br />

(3) In‐service <strong>in</strong>spections if any: Annually to biennially;<br />

(4) Analysis of coolant(s) for radioactivity if necessary: Annually;<br />

(5) Hydrogen concentration <strong>in</strong> off‐gas if any: Initially and follow<strong>in</strong>g significant<br />

changes that could cause the hydrogen gas to <strong>in</strong>crease significantly;<br />

(6) Conductivity or pH, or both: Weekly to quarterly.<br />

10.8.4. Conta<strong>in</strong>ment or Conf<strong>in</strong>ement<br />

Conta<strong>in</strong>ment : (1) Functional closure test: Quarterly; (2) Integrated leak rate test:<br />

Annually to biennially; (3) Vacuum relief: Annually; (4) Leak‐<br />

tightness test follow<strong>in</strong>g modifications or repair.<br />

Conf<strong>in</strong>ement : (1) Functional test: Quarterly; (2) Filters: Annually to biennially.<br />

10.8.5. Ventilation Systems<br />

(1) Operability check of emergency exhaust system: Quarterly; (2) Filter efficiency<br />

measurements: Annually to biennially or follow<strong>in</strong>g major ma<strong>in</strong>tenance.<br />
