7. Quality Assurance<br />

components. Designer <strong>in</strong>spection by start<strong>in</strong>g of new project is performed as a scheduled<br />

<strong>in</strong>spection and those by issuance of design related problem are performed as reactive<br />

<strong>in</strong>spection. The follow<strong>in</strong>gs shall be determ<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> designer <strong>in</strong>spections:<br />

Whether quality assurance standards (Article 68 or Article 85 of Regulations on<br />

Technical Standards for Nuclear Reactor Facilities, and Article NCA‐4000 of<br />

ASME Sec.Ⅲ or KEPIC MNA) are satisfied.<br />

Whether the quality assurance program and technical specifications submitted by<br />

the reactor licensee as construction permit application documents are complied.<br />

Control of noncompliance and/or deficiencies found <strong>in</strong> the process of design<strong>in</strong>g of<br />

NSSS are adequate.<br />

Control and evaluation of subcontracted items and services are adequately<br />

implemented.<br />

Whether contract conditions of NSSS design presented by reactor licensee or<br />

manufacturer are met.<br />

Supplier Inspection: Supplier <strong>in</strong>spections are performed as scheduled <strong>in</strong>spections. This<br />

<strong>in</strong>spection should determ<strong>in</strong>e consider<strong>in</strong>g safety importance and <strong>in</strong>formation from external<br />

sources whether there are deficiencies <strong>in</strong> design, fabrication and test<strong>in</strong>g process, or<br />

defects <strong>in</strong> the items, and whether appropriate corrective measures are taken to those<br />

deficiencies and/or defects. If necessary for this purpose, reactive <strong>in</strong>spections may be<br />

performed <strong>in</strong> addition to scheduled <strong>in</strong>spections. The follow<strong>in</strong>gs shall be determ<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong><br />

supplier <strong>in</strong>spections:<br />
