Traditional and modernin partnerships and projects practicesCorina Anca PervainCounty Library ‟Octavian Goga” – Cluj NapocaThe institutions of modern society are evolving in a more and moredense environment, being related with thousands of links to heterogeneoushuman categories, to other social, political and economic institutions, tocultural values, to trends of traditional or innovative ideas.The ever changing information environment, the fast technologicaldevelopment, related to many other factors, have determined a series ofchanges in all the areas and the activities deployed by the contemporarysociety, even in culture and education.In this context of continuous evolution, the librarians have understoodto respond to the real needs of lifelong learning, continuous improvement,electronic learning, and entertainment, thus supporting the lifelonglearning process in its formal and informal shapes, for all the users, withoutdiscrimination.This objective can be achieved by carefully structuring collections ofall knowledge areas, by implementing the newest methods of informationtransmission, by permanently diversifying the services and, also bydiversifying the institutional partnerships, later involving these institutionsin organising and carrying on joint events.The project, is defined in DEX, as “a plan that helps organise futureactions, that begins and concludes with establishing and attaining someobjectives and that has well defined and important goals for an institution”.The factors that we need to consider before starting a project are:• the project must be real and achievable;• the project must be precise in defining the beneficiaries;• the project must be an investment for the institution, must increaseits potential by an effective use of the available resources, by
