Specialattention was paid to arrange lists in bulleted or enumerated form and tolimit the presentation to one logical unit of thought per page. Rhymes werearranged in stanzas, and The only modifications done to the wording of thetext include adding sectional headings and titles and renaming the wholetext into “Thirteen Lectures on Warfare”. The text was then presentedto several military officers who had studied the “Art of War” before butfound the newly arranged version so much more comprehensible that theysupposed a new translation. After this successful text, the next step maywell be a formal publication of this version of the “Art of War”.10This choice was made out of convenience; the complete text is available online athttp://www.gutenberg.org/dirs/1/3/132. For a serious publication, the translation should bereworked, considering findings from the Yinqueshan texts as well as from the translationsinto Manju.
