792 Adina Berciu-Drăghicescuthese schools on September the <strong>24</strong> th , 1941, and at the Commercial HighSchool and Middle School for girls in Thessaloniki, on November the 16 th ,1941. Radu Arion required food and fuel supplies of schools, Romanianteachers and churches servants in Greece, but also "…of our Aromanianstarving population. I add that the coming in the country of food products...should make here an extraordinary impression on the soul and conscienceof all Aromanians, making visible once again the desire of our country tohelp them". 77The Romanian government has drafted in February 1942 the legal frameof food supply for schools and Romanian teachers of this country. Law no111 issued on February 1942 stated that grains and food products for schoolsand Romanian communities in Greece are sent by the National Institute ofCooperation and distributed throughout the Aromanian Culture Society. 78To stimulate teaching and administrative staff of Greece, Law no642 was adopted in March 1942, opening up an extraordinary credit of3,000,000 lei, by which this was rewarded with an allowance equal to 50%of the budgetary salary and ensuring the fulfillment of Romanian debt andcultural interests in Macedonia, in very difficult terms, the time comprisingfrom October the 1 st , 1941 until March the 31 th , 1942. 79The school year 1943-1944 began for the Romanian secondaryschools in Greece on October the 3 rd , 1943, at the Commercial HighSchool in Thessaloniki, with 123 students; on October the 17 th , 1943, atthe Vocational High School for girls in Thessaloniki, with 84 students;on November the 1 st , 1943, at the Theoretical High School of Grebena,refugee in Thessaloniki, with 149 students and on the 10 th of January 1944,at the secondary school in Ianina. 80 In the Romanian primary schools fromGreece have attended courses the same school year, 1492 pupils, but thefate of many of these schools was tragic, like the Romanian populationin this country. During the period 18-<strong>24</strong> October 1943 were bombed andtotally burned 13 Romanian localities, and in April and May 1944, otherRomanian villages.
