DACOROMANICA – THE DOCUMENTATION ACT 929Bucharest, the oldest and most important public library in Romania, andthe Library of the Romanian Academy, the repository of the legal deposit,of the heritage of the Romanian written culture, and the actual nationallibrary of Romania, de jure and de facto.Besides this partnership, in 2008 it has been signed an accord with theMunicipal Library of Chisinau and the Municipal Library of Sofia, andin 2009 an accord with the Community of Armenians from Bucharest.The relationship of DACOROMANICA with the net of partner librariesrepresents a major necessity. From these reasons, in 2008, we havediscussed at Rîmnicu Vîlcea with county libraries of the Euro-regionOltenia, and at Ploieşti with the county libraries of the Euro-region SouthMuntenia. In 2009, we have organised meetings of discussion with theRomanian Society of Broadcasting and with the National Movie Archive,with the view of establishing partnership for the digitisation of the lattertwo’s contents.At this moment, when numerous institutions from abroad createprogrammes of digitisation, the position of our offer has to be made clearto our partners and to our public alike.The stakes of collaboration are as follows: getting closer in the virtualspace separate physical institutions, and thus gaining a better coherenceand opening innovative ways for research; finding complementarities forthe collections; enhancing the creation of a better vision of the cultural andscientific heritage.It may also be put into practice:• The links with the collections that are already digitised by externalpartners from country or from abroad;• Sharing of the roles between institutions that would have thecapacity to create advanced indexes for the users who are specialisedin a certain field, and the Library of the Romanian Academy orthe Metropolitan Library of Bucharest. The last two institutionscould be responsible for providing the respective texts.
