860 Maria ParizaAnother significant fact for this subject is the relationship of AntonPann and his Aromanian student Ştefanache Popescu, whom he teacheschurch music. There’s a great resemblance between the life’s and goals ofthose two great music teachers. They were both orphans and travelled theworld a lot until they settled in Bucharest. Ştefanache Popescu is the first tohave tried to make a transcription on musical notes of the psalm book andmany others, including the composition for the Prohod which is sang eventoday on the Good Friday and it was composed in 1862 with the lyrics ofMonk Macarie.The investigation of the history of Romanian printing and book bringsout a series of data and aspects that are not so well known, regarding thepresence of Aromanians in the Romanian spiritual life. In the world ofprinting and books, the contributions of the scholars were important bothcreatively and substantially. Truly important are the actual connections,through books, of Romanians from the south and north of Danube whichtook place long before the first historiographic documents of RomanianHumanities in the 17 th century, regarding the national identity of theRomanian people.
