Apesar das controvérsias sobre a eficácia e o valor do livro didático na formação crítica do alunoe da não inclusão de livro didáticos de Artes no Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD), évisível a crescente presença de inúmeras coleções de livros didáticos para a disciplina de Arte nomercado. Ao mesmo tempo, constata-se a existência de uma quantidade significativa de materiaiseducativos que são disponibilizados por instituições públicas ou privadas, como museus, centrosculturais e bienais. Este crescimento do interesse de várias instituições pelo campo da arte, atrelados aampliação de investimentos em espaços expositivos, fez surgir um número grande de projetoseducativos, principalmente nos últimos vinte anos no Brasil. Trata-se de investimentos na formação deequipes de mediadores que recebem, nos espaços expositivos, grupos distintos especialmente vindosde escolas; também há investimentos na elaboração de materiais educativos, que são disponibilizadosaos professores, possibilitando informá-los e orientá-los na continuidade de suas atividades e reflexõesiniciadas nos espaços museológicos. Disponibilizados no ambiente eletrônico ou nas versõesimpressas estes materiais didáticos distribuídos para professores afetam (ou poderiam afetar) oprocesso de ensino e aprendizagem de Arte na escola. Contudo, são poucos os estudos no conjunto daspesquisas educacionais que identificam materiais didáticos em Arte ou investigam as funções queestes desempenham nas condições concretas de ensinar, na compreensão das práticas de seus usos nocotidiano escolar. A pesquisa proposta vai ao encontro de algumas especificidades dos materiaisdidáticos, no caso para o Ensino da Arte, e encontra referência num primeiro levantamento de Martins(2005) quanto a materiais educativos em Arte. Propõe como resultado parcial a categorização demanuais escolares e mídias educativas em gêneros que se dividem em: materiais vinculados àexposições de arte; materiais não vinculados à exposições de arte; livros escolares; e materiaisproduzidos através do processo de ensino e aprendizagem.Palavras-chave: Ensino da Arte; materiais didáticos em Arte; Didática do Ensino da Arte.ABSTRACT: Research oriented to the analysis of books and materials for the Teaching of Art.Despite the controversies about the effectiveness and value of the textbook and the non-inclusion oftextbooks of Art in the National Textbook Program in Brazil, it is noticeable the growing presence ofnumerous textbooks in the market that are destined to the discipline of Art. At the same time, there is asignificant amount of educational materials that are provided by public or private institutions such asmuseums, cultural centers and biennials. This growing interest of various institutions in the field ofArt, linked to expansion of investment in exhibition spaces, has given rise to a large number ofeducational projects in Brazil, especially over the last twenty years. Available electronically or inprinted versions, these educational materials distributed to teachers affect (or could affect) the processof teaching and learning of Art in school. However, there are few studies in the Brazilian educationalresearch field that identify materials for the Teaching of Art or investigate the roles they play in theconcrete conditions of teaching, and in understanding their practical use in everyday school life. Theresearch proposal meets a few specificities of teaching materials and finds its reference in Martins(2005), concerning the educational materials in Art. As a partial result, the proposal of categorizingtextbooks and educational media in genres, divided into: material related to art exhibitions; materialsunrelated to art exhibitions; textbooks; and materials produced through the process of teaching andlearning.Keywords: Art Education; educational materials for Art; Didactic of Art Education.426
