The Prophet said, "The Hour will not be established till there is a war between two groups among whom there will be a great<br />

number of casualties, though the claims (or religion) of both of them will be one and the same. And the Hour will not be<br />

established till there appear about thirty liars, all of whom will be claiming to be the messengers of Allah. "<br />

I fought in seven Ghazwat (i.e. battles) along with the Prophet and fought in nine battles, fought by armies dispatched by the<br />

Prophet. Once Abu Bakr was our commander and at another time, Usama was our commander.<br />

Narrated Salama in another narration: I fought seven Ghazwat (i.e. battles) along with the Prophet and also fought in nine<br />

battles, fought by armies sent by the Prophet. Once Abu Bakr was our commander and another time, Usama was (our<br />

commander).<br />

Jabir ibn Abdullah<br />

I fought in the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) nineteen battles. Jabir said: I did not participate in the<br />

Battle of Badr and the Battle of Uhud. My father prevented me (from participating in these battles as my age was tender).<br />

After Abdullah (my father) was killed on the Day of Uhud, I never lagged behind the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)<br />

and joined every battle (he fought).<br />
