J Nnxvom.; from passive congestion: Digitalis^ Asenicum ; if caused by mental excitement : Aconite^ Kux vomica^Opium; by exertions: Aconite^ Arnica; by mechanical injuries:Arnica^ Bryonia alba; if depending upon tuberculosis: Acon.^ Am.yPtUsiLj Millef, J Ledum^ Phosphorus; if depending upon heart disease: Aeon., Digit, J Ar sen. ; upon menostasia : Pulsat; upon caBellad,^ Hyoscyam., Mercurius; upon emphysema: Arsen., Digit.^Carboveg,; portal obstructions : Ledum palustre.Regarding the effect <strong>of</strong> pulmonary hemorrhage upon the organifina, it is the same as that <strong>of</strong> all other kinds <strong>of</strong> hemorrhage, ahas to be treated in the same manner ; this effect will never beextensive. <strong>The</strong> consequences <strong>of</strong> hemorrhage to the lungs themselves, which are the most to be dreaded, <strong>of</strong>ten require differentremedies from those that might perhaps be chosen without regardto the local process. If extensive infarctions have become localiin the pulmonary tissue, and the restoration <strong>of</strong> health is retardeby them, our first choice may have to be Arnica, afterwards Bryaniaj IXgitalis and finally Phosphorus.
