If there ismuch anxiety and restlessness and a burning feverish heat, Arsenicum is the remedy ; if the patient is lying in a listless conditwith typhoid symptoms, Bryonia is best suitable. Mercurius maylikewise deserve attention in this disease, and if the patient pespires to excess, Sambucus.Regarding the propriety of instituting a treatment for symptomatic miliaria, it is our opinion that it is unnecessary arid thatefforts to prevent the appearance of miliaria by medicinal agentsare of very doubtful utility. Moreover, the selection of a remedyin all acute diseases depends rather upon the more important symptoms of the disease than upon the appearance of the vesicles.Nevertheless, in order not to slight the views of our Colleagues, mention the remedies recommended by Hartmann for this exanthem : Ipecacuanha (for the precursory symptoms in diseases wherethe miliaria may be expected to break out); Bryonia (under similacircumstances) ; Arsenicum (for restlessness and anxiety) ; Aconi(for violent rush of blood); Belladonna (for accompanying congestive symptoms of the brain); Coffea^ Chainomillay Valeriana.Hartmann further remarks: "Chronic miliary eruptions whichpartially disappear in one spot in order to reappear sowewhere eland cause a good deal of itching and burning^, are most safely anreliably removed by such antipsoric remedies as Mezereum^ ClemaUSSarsaparilla^ Staphysagria^ Arsenicum^ Ammonium carb.^ Sulphur ^and Carbo vegetabilis.^^6.
