If the patient is an anaemic, feeble, pale woman, Pulsatilla^ Ferrumy China have to be prescribin not too frequently repeated doses ; if the anaemia is attendedwith disposition to congestion, Calcarea carbonica is preferable.the woman had miscarried several times, it is best to give the prviously-mentioned remedies about four weeks before the term whenthe miscarriage is expected to take place, but neither too low notoo frequently ; perhaps a few drops every three days, and to continue this treatment until at least four weeks after the term. Weavoid strong attenuations lest the medicine should produce primareffects. The remedies proposed for anaemia should not be continueat the time when the miscarriage is expected ; at such a periodCalcarea^ Sepia or Sabina are preferable each as the patient's pesonality may indicate. Regarding the necessity of absolute rest iorder to prevent a miscarriage, views differ a great deal. It istainly well for the patient to avoid all physical and mental exciment, but careful and slow exercise in the open air cannot do anyhurt, less, at any rate than to constantly be lying down. If thispractice is excusable in the case of weakly, nervous individuals,is certainly inexcusable in the case of plethoric, robust and quipersons. Nov can a scanty, not very nourishing diet be adopted asa rule, for in anaemia we are called upon to improve the compositof the blood by a suitable mode of living ; whereas truly robustwomen are benefitted by a sort of starvation-cure, because they atormented by a voracious appetite during the first months of theihttp://www.archive.org/stream/sciencetherapeu00kafkgoog/sciencetherapeu00kafkgoog_djvu.txt
