Such symptoms are notoften met with in young persons, on which account Lycopodium ispreeminently suitable for middle-aged women. It is of especialvalue in the metrorrhagias of the critical period, if the abovecribed symptoms indicate this drug. According to Hartmann,Kreosotum is suitable if a quantity of dark blood is discharged,succeeded for a few days by an acrid-swelling, bloody ichor causia gnawing-itching and smarting of the parts, after which the flowof blood recommences mingled with coagula. At the same timethe head feels very much distressed.
