Among all the various formsof cardiac inflammation, we consider the rheumatic form bestadapted to Digitalis, and likewise if it is associated with a copeff'usion of serum ; less, however, to pericarditis if the frictimurs continue unchanged from the beginning of the disease. Thesooner these murmurs disappear, the better is Digitalis adapted tthe case. In endocarditis it seems almost impossible to indicatespecial heart-symptoms requiring the use of Digitalis ; in such cthe constitutional symptoms will have to determine our choice.
