The prostration was extreme, the tremor excessive, but the delirium bland, the chief hallucination being thatceiling was about' to fall and crush him, rendering it necessaryhim to jump from the bed and hop around the room with as greatactivity as his weak condition would allow. His tongue was heavilcoated, pulse small and irregular, skin moist, the forehead beingconstantly bedewed with a cold, clammy sweat.
