Separatist... Radical”; there are no exceptions or distinctions regardingany peaceful forces. At least there is a distinction between a civil organizationand a military one. But it goes even further by denying Turkistan history totallyand uses the term “former colonialists” to describe Muslim historians. It depictsthe Turkistan people as terrorists, dating back far in the past. However Islamis, according to the expressions of the same book, a “peaceful religion”! On theother hand, this book tries to illustrate an ideal portrait and expresses this as:“different races with noble traditions living in Xinjiang are represented by theirlove for national union and the integrity of the state.” The Chinese governmentbelieves that such expressions are more than enough for the Uyghur people tohappily greet millions of Han Chinese as the modern Ansar (people from Medinawho helped the immigrant Muslims) or new conquerors. As a matter of fact, theProphet Muhammad said that “do whatever you like if you have no shame.” Howcan it be possible to explain why such a great state, which should be protectingits population from a moral collapse of this magnitude and level, has fallen intosuch lies and vanity.337
