The position of Turkistan people in the countries to which they hadimmigrated depends on the economic and political relations betweenthese countries and China.Today, China has become a significant economic and political power, andChinese products can be found in all world markets; particularly in Central Asianand emerging markets. Thus, the countries involved must adopt a strong positionagainst the economic supremacy of China.4. It is of great importance that second and third generation Uyghurpeople with refugee status preserve the Uyghur language.This is one of the most serious threats to the people of Turkistan in exile.Immigrants - whose children are growing up in exile –meet unprecedenteddifficulties in preserving their languages. This threat is even more serious for thosewho were born outside of East Turkistan. They are being educated in the languageof the country to which they emigrated. Therefore, the second generation mightcompletely forget or not learn to speak their native language. This is much moreserious for the next generation which is being born in a foreign land; most ofthese people cannot speak their native languages.5. Refugees from Turkistan become citizens of the countries to whichthey emigrated.Most of the people who emigrated from Turkistan to Muslim countries,such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, acquired citizenship in these relevantcountries so that their children could lead a normal life and enjoy education andemployment opportunities in these countries. There can be no doubt that suchcitizenship enables them to integrate into their new societies; however, it takesmuch away from what East Turkistan has accumulated.412
