Our people naturally became incensedat a bloody ethnical conflict in which more than five thousand Chinese workersbrutally beat more than three hundred Uyghur workers, killing more than 60 ofthem and seriously injuring more than 150 in a toy factory in Hurai in the city ofShauguan, in the Guangdong Province on June 26, 2009. Seeing that their brothersand sister had been unjustly beaten and killed by Chinese nationalists, the Uyghurpeople demanded a response from the Chinese government. 1 Demanding thatthe Chinese government make a statement and carry out a proper interrogationinto the incident, the young Uyghurs and university students conducted a peacefuldemonstration in the capital of East Turkistan, Urumchi, on the July 5, 2009. However,the colonialist Chinese administration quelled the demonstration in a brutal ratherthan responding to the justified and humane demands of the Uyghur people; thisresulted in “the Bloody Massacre of July 5”. The Chinese police responded harshlyto the demonstration of the Uyghur people and conducted a second “TiananmenMassacre”.
